Ballet Level 1A is ideal for absolute beginners, this class introduces you to the fundamentals of ballet in a supportive and welcoming environment. You’ll start at the barre, learning the foundations of posture, balance, and musicality, before exploring simple centre work such as arms, turns, and traveling steps. Ballet Level 1A is the very first step in our Early Beginner pathway, designed for those with no prior experience.

Contemporary Ballet

This class blends the structure of a traditional ballet class with the expressive range of contemporary dance. You’ll start at the barre for foundational technique, then move into centre work that explores more dynamic and creative movement.
Unlike classical ballet, contemporary ballet includes freer use of the upper body, arms that aren’t bound by traditional lines, and greater use of weight, swing, and momentum. Movements draw from classical, neoclassical, and contemporary styles.
This class does not include floorwork, making it a great option if you prefer to stay standing throughout. It’s ideal if you want the precision and technique of ballet with more freedom, expression, and contemporary edge. Best suited to Level 3+ dancers with solid ballet experience (typically 3+ years).

Ballet Barre gives you a full class at the ballet barre, strengthening your body through classical ballet exercises. This class is ideal for beginners who want the support of the barre the entire time, or for anyone seeking a focused ballet workout. The final minutes of class are dedicated to stretching, helping you increase flexibility and release tension. It’s a wonderful way to build strong technique and experience the meditative flow of barre work.
Jazz Mature

Jazz Mature is part of our Silver Dragonflies program, designed especially for dancers aged 60+. You’ll enjoy learning jazz in a way that’s fun, energising, and suited to your body. Each week includes a warm-up, technique practice (such as simple kicks, turns, and isolations), and a dance routine developed over several weeks. Expect to build rhythm, style, and fitness, while enjoying the connection of dancing in community with others.
