Dance journey

Louise’s dance training started at The Studios, learning ballet, tap, contemporary, jazz and musical theatre. She worked for Conrad & Co as a dancer and later as their Adelaide Supervisor for the Warner Bros. school holiday shows.

Louise studied a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) at The University of Adelaide whilst performing around Adelaide as a dancer. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Education and worked for over 25 years as a dance teacher in high schools.

She joined Move Through Life (the previous name of Dragonfly Dance) in 2008 as a dancer, teacher, performer, and later choreographer, in number projects, including the Adelaide Fringe Festival, and other independent productions. She was also the Class Coordinator for several years, and a core part of the organisation. More recently, she has completed her Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, working with older people in the community as well as introductory training in Dance for Parkinson’s Disease.
