Hire process

Is Dragonfly the right fit?

Dragonfly is home to a community of adult-focused movement, wellbeing and creative organisations.

We welcome hirers whose values and activities complement this community and contribute to a positive experience for everyone using the venue.

We give priority to organisations that:

  • provide adult-focused movement, wellbeing, creative or community activities

  • offer services that complement those already based at Dragonfly

  • share our commitment to professionalism, respect and inclusivity.

  • are looking for an ongoing home for their community.

To maintain the best experience for our hirers and participants, we generally do not hire the venue for:

  • children's programs

  • activities that directly compete with Dragonfly's core dance programs

  • events or activities that may damage the specialised dance floors or be unsuitable for a shared movement venue.

How it works

This streamlined approach helps us understand your needs while fostering a strong community connection.

2. Become an approved Studio Hirer

Fill in our Studio Hire Enquiry Form (as there are a few stages, you might come back to that form and fill it in more than once, but, thanks to the conditional logic, you won't have to re-fill in questions you've already answered.

3. Induction

We will organise an induction to the studio, so you are familiar with the studio, its facilities, and our booking system - designed to make sure everything runs smoothly from your first hire.

4. Manage bookings

Once you are an approved hirer, you are able to book and pay for space using our online booking system - no waiting for responses from us or paying invoices etc.

If you have a longer term or ongoing booking, we will make an ongoing booking for you and setup monthly automatic payments - not stressing about when and how to pay the rent!.
