Class practice videos
Videos from class can be a fantastic tool to observe your dancing, remember what to practice, track your progress, and celebrate what you've achieved.

From April 2026, we will be introducing a regular rhythm for class videos so that dancers know when to expect them, and to ensure a consistent experience across the studio.
Please note:
-
your class fee covers the in-studio experience.
-
Videos are not included and are not an entitlement.
-
They are provided in good will as an added benefit and privilege, not an expectation.
-
We reserve the right to change or cease our class video schedule at any time.
-
Additional videos are not provided outside of this, except where required for performances.

Class guidelines
Class enrolment
From 2026, we have introduced a class enrolment process to provide a more cohesive and connected experience. Enrolment means you have a home class (if you are a Silver member) or classes (if you are a Gold or higher membership). At the end of each quarter, all members will be sent a link to enrol for the coming quarter.
Class bookings
You are still able to manage your bookings using our online booking system (Mindbody) to fit with your schedule.

Unable to attend a class - cancel the booking as soon as possible to enable others to book in your place.
If you cancel at least 1 hour prior to the class start, you will have a class credit applied to your Mindbody account to use later. If you don't cancel in that timeframe, the class will be forfeit.

Booking a makeup class - you have up until 1 hour before the class starts to book online.
Before class
Parking: We have 14 car parks allocated to Dragonfly Dance in the onsite carpark. Do not use any other parks other than those marked for Dragonfly. If there are no parks available, you will need to park on the street.
Class check-in: Ensure you 'check in' at the tablet when you arrive for each class you are booked for that day/night

Arrival time: Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes early to ensure you are ready to start at the allocated time. If you are late, please enter quietly and wait until the teacher invites you into the class.

Entering the studio: If the door to the studio for your class is shut, please knock before entering. When the teacher invites you to enter, please do so quickly and quietly.

Allergy awareness: Avoid wearing perfume or perfumed products to avoid any allergic reactions in those with allergies. If you have any allergies, please advise your teacher, including location of any medication (eg ventalin, epipen)

-
Stay for the entire class. If you must leave early, advise the teacher beforehand and exit quietly (including if you have to leave unexpectedly).
-
Do not carry on a conversation with someone while the teacher is speaking
-
If the teacher asks a question, respond promptly.
After class
-
Respond with enthusiasm at the end of the class
-
Ensure you have collected any belongings (eg drink bottle, clothing layers, locker key)
-
Exit the studio quickly to make way for the next class
-
Move any conversations after class with other dancers into the waiting area
-
If you want to talk to your teacher, be mindful that they may have another class starting, so check if they have time to chat.
