As we near the end of September, we are gearing up for our final quarter of the year, which starts on Monday 28 September.
This news items gives dancers who attend on quarterly passes information about what they need to do to keep dancing with us and ensure they keep their place in their regular classes (or what to do if you need to change your enrolment).
Find out what you need to do to prepare for our final quarter of 2026 if you pay for classes using Quarterly Passes.
Quarter dates
First, a quick reminder of the dates for this and the next quarter:
The last day of our current quarter is Saturday 26 September.
Quarter 4 will start on Monday 28 September and runs until Saturday 19 December.
Timetable
Most of our timetable will remain the same, with a few minor changes:
Intro courses transitioning to regular classes
the three courses we offered in Quarter 3 (Intro to Contemporary, Intro to Jazz, Ballet for Silver Dragonflies) will continue as regular classes on our timetable, as long as we have sufficient people enrolled. As you attend via Drop-In, it means your attendance is not counted as a regular attendee in the class, so it won't help build the numbers for sustainability.
Friday morning classes
Previously we had Level 2 and Level 3 Ballet Barre at 10am and Jazz Mature at 11am. In quarter 4, the levels will be combined. The reason for this is because of frequent changes back and forth from level 2 and 3, dancers choosing the class based on who else is in the class rather than whether the level suits.
Return of founder, Jo McDonald
Dragonfly founder and owner, Jo McDonald, is returning to teaching some classes (following a break so she could provide carer support for her mother who had a stroke in early July). Jo will be returning to Monday nights, Wednesday and Friday mornings, and Saturdays.
What you need to do
If you pay for classes via a quarterly pass, you need to do two things:
ensure you purchase a new quarterly class before you current pass runs out
confirm if you will continue your current enrolment or if you want to make changes to your enrolment.
While you can still change class bookings if you can't get to your regular class, we do need to ensure you are enrolled.
Yes, I know that is not how things used to be, but going forward, enrolment is a requirement if you want to attend a class regularly.
Some of our classes get booked out, and you don't want to miss a place in your regular class.
Some classes have low numbers and your enrolment helps keep that class viable so it won't be permanently cancelled.
Teachers need to be know who is in their class regularly so they can plan and deliver the best quality teaching, rather than having to adjust on the fly to accommodate a constantly changing group.
Keep reading for what to do if you want to continue in the same class or if you want to make changes.
Step 1: Payment
Make sure you don't run out of classes:
Purchase a new quarterly pass before your current one runs out of classes. You can find instructions on how to do that on the Booking Help page of our website.
If you attend more than one class a week, you can purchase more than one quartelry pass, or you can purchase passes more frequently. You do need to ensure you are paid in advance to be enrolled and secure your place in your favourite class.
Step 2: Confirm or change enrolment
If you want to continue in your existing class or classes:
Simply email info@dragonflydance.com.au and tell us “I'd like to continue my enrolment in [CLASS NAME], [DAY] at [TIME].”
Anne will update your enrolment and send you an email confirming your place for the new quarter.
If you'd like to change your regular class or classes:
Complete the Amend Enrolment or Membership form
This allows us to check class capacity and make sure the class and level are suitable before confirming the change.
Note, you enrolment is not confirmed until you have received an enrolment confirmation email from Anne.
Would membership make things easier?
If you're dancing with us regularly, you might also like to consider moving from a Quarterly Pass to a membership.
One of the advantages of membership is that your class enrolment is ongoing. You don't need to reconfirm your place or purchase a new pass each quarter.
Membership is also discounted, so you pay less per class.
We have two membership options:
Standard Membership
Paid every 4 weeks. Your class allocation is available to use within each 4-week period and expires at the end of that period if unused.
Standard offers the greater discount and is best suited to dancers who attend their regular classes consistently.
Flex Membership
Paid every 13 weeks. Your class allocation is available across the full 13-week period and expires at the end of that period if unused.
Flex gives you more time to use your classes, so it can work better if you sometimes miss a week or two and want more time to make those classes up.
Both memberships are a 12-month commitment, with the option to place your membership on hold if needed.
We look forward to dancing with you in our final quarter of 2026
